Construction Framing

Most commercial buildings in the U.S. are framed on-site by using conventional lumber. What most people do not realize is that there are multiple methods to construction framing. Framing is the skeleton of your building and can be known as stick framing. Stick framing is done by construction professionals who use wall studs, floor and ceiling joists, and roof trusses, all done stick-by-stick with lumber. For most our clients, framing is the most thrilling part because once the walls go up, you can begin to see what the finished building might look like.

Steel Stud Framing

Steel stud framing is a method of framing when a building is made of metal instead of traditional lumber. Steel is strongly resistant to termites, burning, rotting or shrinking, thus, giving it a huge advantage for steel studded buildings as opposed to wood. Steel frame buildings are recommended when constructing a large manufacturing or industrial facility needing extremely wide interiors. When done properly, steel framing can be a lot stronger when compared to traditional wood framing. Also, steel framed buildings will cost a bit more than wood framed buildings because of the material cost.
